Looks good, you cut it out nicely.  Try putting up the contrast a bit and it'll look even better.

What's the contrast have to do with anything? Does it darken it?

Not really, it makes a greater difference between the lights and darks.

Tools, then colors, then brightness-contrast. Fiddle with it, usually so the brighten is higher, contrast lower.
